The Central European Institute of Cosmology and Fundamental Physics (CEICO), at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague, welcomes applications for an HPC Linux cluster system administrator for a new HPC system that will be installed in January 2018.
You will join a growing international team of research scientists. You will be expected to work independently in troubleshooting and problem solving and also work collaboratively with the research team and with administrators of other HPC systems at the Institute of Physics.

Expert knowledge of C, parallel code optimization, experience with parallel file systems and Git, are considered an advantage.

CEICO is a new research centre, established with funds from the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Czech Science Foundation, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the European Commission. The team’s areas of research are: cosmology, gravity, string field theory, and instrumentation for cosmological observations.
