Organic Chemistry

In this project conceptually new traceless catalytic oxidative tandem processes consisting of asymmetric copper-catalyzed conjugate addition reactions and radical reactions, such as addition and cyclization steps will be developed. This methodology will allow a one-step access to functionalized carbocycles. The applicability in forming polycycles will be explored with the aim to approach natural products such as terpenes in a concise way.
