Nešpor, Zdeněk R. 2002. „Problém subjektivního smyslu jednání v díle Maxe Webera, Clifforda Geertze a Rudolfa Bultmanna.“ Sociologický časopis / Czech Sociological Review 38 (5): 551-562. ISSN 0038-0288.

M. Weber, C. Geertz, and R. Bultmann are often cited by anthropologists and sociologists, who tries to find the essence of human sciences in deep analysis of subjective meanings, which the actor sets to his/her behaviour. This article provides an analysis of theoretical and episthemological conceptions of the three mentioned thinkers, while the author concludes each of them use the construction of subjective meaning in a different way. The differences between Weber´s and Geertzs theoretical constructions originate in their contrast conceptions of the nature of culture. Just another case is Bultmann, due to he does not concentrate on the subjective meaning of behaviour in a narrow sense, while he aims on - in his eyes - all humans existential livings through the reality.
