Abstract:
The availability of ultrashort laser pulses enabled the development of techniques for coherent generation and detection of broadband terahertz pulses. These can be efficiently applied for spectroscopic measurements including terahertz transmission and emission spectroscopy and pump-probe experiments. The high probing frequency enables investigation of charge transport on nanoscale distances. This makes terahertz spectroscopy suitable for studies of nanostructured materials.
