The wind load combined with the moving load acting upon the bridges or their load-bearing parts is a serious problem in the light of ever growing requirements; longer spans, lighter structures and higher resistance. The joint research project between will be focused on the theoretical development and computational methods applied on the prismatic structures under the action of stochastic moving load in the combination with the wind. The solution of the problem will combine the experimental research on the problem oriented models carried out in the boundary wind tunnel. This will prepare the realistic input for the numerical simulation of bridge deck aerodynamic coefficients used in flow-structure interaction problems. Due to the motion-dependent nature of the aerodynamic lift force and pitching moment, the vehicle bridge interaction equations are coupled and non- stationary, in which numerical intensive computations are required to perform updating and factorization of system matrices at each time step in dynamic response analysis.
