Biophotonics and optofluidics

Our  research goals  span the fields of optical spectroscopy (Raman  microspectroscopy), optical micromanipulation (optical tweezers/Raman  tweezers), fluid handling at micron scale, microfluidic systems  and  mathematical data processing/statistical methods. Moreover, the members of the team have long-term experience with Raman spectroscopy of microbial cells in identifying different microorganisms (bacteria, yeast, algae and micro-fungi), in the  research on biofilms formation and in the action of antimicrobial chemicals  on microorganisms/biofilms.
