Organic Chemistry

The Lycopodium alkaloid family bearing a diquinane unit with their complex architecture bearing 6-7 contiguous stereocenters is an attractive target to explore new synthetic methodology. In this project new radical and electron transfer methodology will be developed and applied to allow short and unified approaches to members of this family, such as (+)-Paniculatine, (−)-Magellanine, or (+)-Magellaninone.
