Abstract	The topic of the Ph.D. project is design and synthesis of novel types of α-branched acyclic nucleoside phosphonates. In general, the compounds will be studied as potential inhibitors of key enzymes of the metabolism of nucleic acid components. Emphasis will be placed on antiviral properties of the prepared compounds.
