Topic	Tandem Organometallic Conjugate Addition/Cycloaddition Processes for Total Syntheses of Biologically Acitive Pyrrole-Imidazole Alkaloids

Abstract	In this project conceptually new tandem processes consisting of asymmetric conjugate addition reactions and 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions will be developed. This methodology will allow a one-step access to functionalized saturated carbo- and heterocycles. The approach will be applied toward the total synthesis of biologically active pyrrole-imidazole alkaloids, such as Massadine.
