Women’s Professional and Family Cohabitation – Differences in the Opinions of Czech Man and Women of Two Age Categories

The research aim is to detect opinions concerning role of women working outside home within the group of present students in the last year of university studies (people at the beginning of their professional career) and their parents´ generation. Further research goal relates to the differences between men and women and the changes between generations with respect to this issue.

The traditional role of the woman is caretaker and housekeeper. The traditional role of the man is society-idea-maker and breadwinner. In the paper, we present first results of a sociological survey, which compared opinions on roles of men and women from the perspective of two generations of men and women.
