The promising start of CAAS project
The first monitoring period of the Centre of Advanced Applied Sciences (CAAS) project finished at the end of March 2019. During the first period, which began in August 2018, the teams of specific research programs were formed, and research work started.
Colloquium in Dosimetry led by prof. Eric Benton (Oklahoma State University)
The guest of this week's faculty colloquium will be prof. Eric Banton from the Oklahoma State University. His lecture "Active Tissue Equivalent Dosimeter (ATED): A Tissue Equivalent Proportional Counter for Space and Air Crew Dosimetry" is scheduled on April 17th at 15:30. The lecture takes place in room no. B-115 in the main building at Břehová 7. Refreshments will be available from 15:00.

Begin Edu Fairs in Baku and Tbilisi
Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering was represented in Baku, Azerbaijan and Tbilisi, Georgia thanks to the Study in Prague initiative. If you are interested in studying at FNSPE, feel free to learn more about our Master Continuation Programmes or Doctoral Programmes.
Among the Werner von Siemens Prize awardees this year were also Ph.D. students and alumni of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering (FNSPE)
Among the 21st year of the Werner von Siemens Prize awardees were also Ph.D. students and alumni of FNSPE (along with young researchers from the Czech Academy of Sciences). Their research into Deposition of Protective Layers from Liquids Using Hybrid Water-Stabilized Plasma was awarded in the category of “The Most Significant Research Findings in Fundamental Research“.
Workshop on magnetically confined plasma at FNSPE
A workshop offering a group of international students to get experience in tokamak operation is currently taking place at FNSPE. The participants have an opportunity to operate tokamak GOLEM and get a hands-on training.
