As part of the program, several workshops and a winter school will take place at the Banach Center in Warsaw or at the Mathematical Research and Conference Center in Bedlewo. There will also be a seminar which will take place weekly in Warsaw.
The semester is supported by the Simons Foundation, MNiSW and IMPAN
RIPE 60 is a workshop on rate independent processes as well as related mathematical problems and their appliaction. The workshop is held on the ocassion of 60-th birthday of Pavel Krejci.
The team members of the project ERC-CZ MORE (2012-2017) cordially invite you to the workshop Implicitly constituted materials: Modeling, analysis, and computing. The aim of the workshop is twofold. First we want to present the results achieved so far within the framework of the project, and discuss the conceptual questions and ideas we percieve to be of importance with respect to the goals of the project. Second, and more importantly, several renowned scientists outside the project team will deliver lectures on subjects related to the project. We expect the workshop to be an event facilitating transfer of ideas and cross-fertilisation between various scientific disciplines ranging from continuum thermodynamic through mathematical analysis and numerical approximation of partial differential equations to matrix analysis and computations. Our idea is to bring together renowned researchers who otherwise rarely meet at conferences.
