This year, Josef Kučera joined the Open Science project, which offers young science enthusiasts the opportunity to try their own research. As part of this project, he works with the Synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials research team at IPE, where he participates in the current research of the growth of ZnO nanotubes in cooperation with our employees. He works with an electron microscope equipped with an ion beam, a gas precursor system, and a nanomanipulator, which allows him to display and examine properties on a nanometer scale, thereby influencing nanotube growth conditions.

Josef is also the author of a book called Nanotechnology games (Nanotechnologie hrou), with which he is participating in the national round of the SOČ competition.
