In April within the regular survey the Centre for Public Opinion Research focused on the food waste issue. The aim of the questions was to investigate how citizens handle unconsumed food in their households, why and how often they throw it away and last but not least to uncover the practices of throwing food away in the context of shopping.
This press release presents the outputs of respondents’ answers analysis. It doesn’t express how it correlates with their everyday food handling.

In April, the Centre for Public Opinion Research focused on satisfaction with life in the locality in general and selected living conditions close to their home. 76 % of Czechs are satisfied with living conditions in their place of residence. Less than a fifth is not satisfied.

Are you very satisfied, rather satisfied, neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, rather dissatisfied, very dissatisfied?"

In March 2014 CVVM investigated Czech public´s view with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in the Czech republic. 60 % of Czechs see foreign citizens living in the Czech Republic as a problem, 32 % claim the opposite. But, when people should consider their neighbourhood, not the Czech Republic as a whole country, 53 % think foreign citizens are not a problem.

In March 2014 CVVM investigated Czech public's views with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in the Czech Republic. Majority (63 %) claimed that  foreigners living in the Czech Republic should become conformed to Czech cultural habits as much as possible, another of informants (32 %) said that foreigners should adapt to czech cultural habits just in some aspects. And 4% said that foreigners should be allowed to live according to their habits.

In March 2014 CVVM was examining attitudes of Czech public towards foreigner long-temr or permanently living in the Czech republic. Specifically, there were examined attitudes whether there are too many, appropriate amount, or too few foreigners living in our country, whether foreigners should have the right for the long-term residing in the country and whether the state should allow them to settle here permanently.
