Recovery of compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) and toxic mercury removal from input phosphors
Duration:
01.01.2012 - 31.12.2016 Annotation:
The project deals with finding complex method of recycling waste from used compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) – from their pulverization through separation for glass, metals and luminophores up to mercury separation and its transformation to a chemically stable form for storage or reusage – to isolation of other valuable components (yttrium and europium oxides) and their re-usage for new CFL. Project results are patents with perspective of manufacturing the whole line.
