Abstract:

The ATLAS experiment has a very broad physics programme. One of its components is the forward physics, which tries to understand processes involving production of particles at very small angles. I will discuss the components of the ATLAS detector, which are most relevant for forward physics, in particular, the ALFA and AFP detectors. I will present the available results and prospects for future. I will also show how forward physics can be used to search for new physics.
