Joint Laboratory of Optics (JLO) is focused on scientific research in the fields of:
••• Applied optics
••• Quantum and nonlinear optics
••• Wave optics and holography.
Besides the Laboratory covers also:
••• Construction and manufacturing of optical equipments
••• Editors' office of the journal Fine Mechanics and Optics
••• Library of a Czech branch of international company SPIE/CS
••• Part in education of undergraduates and Ph.D students of Palacký University.
Joint Laboratory of Optics was open in 1985 as a joint workplace of Palacký University in Olomouc and Institute of Physics of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Besides scientific research in the fields of classical, nonlinear and quantum optics it is also a participant in education of undergraduate and Ph.D students of Palacký University.
In addition the Laboratory cooperates with domestic and foreign companies on a several contracts and international scientific projects.
