Annotation
The main aim of the project is to establish a top-class research and development laboratory, which will make the technology of nitride semiconductors available for various research groups, university students and also industrial subjects and will also improve the accessibility of nitride nanoheterostructures for other laboratories. The metalorganic vapour phase epitaxy (MOVPE) will be used for the preparation of the nanoheterostructures. The technological equipment will be designed according to the latest knowledge of the technology.

One part of the project is also an optical laboratory, which will be equipped by combined Raman and luminescence spectrometer with high spatial and spectral resolution and optical confocal microscope for 2D and 3D imaging. This laboratory will provide prompt and high-quality diagnostics of the samples. First nitride heterostructures should be prepared in first half of the year 2015, when the laboratory should be put into operation.

The technology uniqueness in the Czech Republic is substantiated by the interest of research laboratories in the cooperation within this project and also the financial support from the industrial sector. The project realization will significantly increase the research and development potential of Prague.
