Národní park Bük je součástí jižního okraje Západních Karpat na severu Maďarska. Jde o nevelké a nevysoké pohoří, ale zajímavé prolínáním teplomilných a chladnomilných druhů rostlin a živočichů karpatských, panonských a balkánských biogeografických oblastí, včetně druhů vázaných na jeskyně a krasová prameniště.

The Bükk National Park is a part of the southern edge of the Western Carpathian Mts. in southern Hungary. It is a low mountain range but it is remarkable for the alteration of the thermophilous and cryophilous plant and animal species of the Carpathian, Pannonian and Balkan Biogeographical Provinces incl. species inhabiting caves and karst springs.
