Poleski Park Narodowy ve východním Polsku patří mezi národní parky zaměřené na ochranu rašelinišť, jezer a mokřadů. Je součástí Biosférické rezervace Západní Polesie. Rašeliniště a mokřady v této oblasti však byly v minulosti postiženy činností člověka, hlavně melioracemi. V současné době hrozí i zazemňování a zarůstání rákosem. Autor přibližuje diverzitu zdejších typů rašelinišť a management na jejich ochranu.

The Polesie National Park in East Poland focuses on peatland, lake and other wetland conservation, being a part of the West Polesie UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Unfortunately, peatlands and other wetlands were affected by human activities in the past, particularly by amelioration. At present, they are also threatened by silting and reed overgrowth. The author focuses on peatland type diversity and conservation and the management of the significant habitats there.
