Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences (LCAS) is a public research institution whose purpose is to conduct scientific research in the area of scientific information and library science, to establish a research-oriented information infrastructure, and to provide library-based, informational, and reprographic services to the institutes of Czech Academy of Sciences and other users active in research and science. Special offer – order a book digitization from historical collection with a discount
Library of CAS is also celebrating the 100st Anniversary of foundation of the Czechoslovakia state and the end of the World War I. On this special occasion you can order a book digitization from our historical collection from 1st October to 11th November for special price.

We picked out ten of the new additions and you can borrow them imediately or check out their digitized version in the Digital Library of Czech Academy of Sciences.

Summer opening hours and library closure
From 28 July to 9 September 2018 the loan services won’t be available and the main study will be closed.
On other days the study will be operating as usual
(Mo-Fri, 9 a.m.–7 p.m.).
