Abstrakt: Recent excavations and research have revealed a more complex picture of society, settlements and graves during the Bronze Age in Sweden (c. 1400-500 BC). The material culture has a continental character, but it also reveals both traits that exhibit local adaptation within the Nordic Bronze Age and more indigenous features. The lecture will present some of those traits seen in pottery, fire-cracked stone mounds and graves.
