Department of System Engineering

The Department of Systems Engineering is dealing mainly with system approach to the project, i.e. managing interfaces according to activities and components of the work breakdown structure of the ELI project.

Main tasks are: control system, beam transport, alignment, diagnostics and performance.

Department will be responsible for all life cycles of the ELI project starting from design and implementation of support technology and engineering technology (i.e. beam transport and switchyards and control system) to operation and maintenance of the ELI facility. The SE department will look after regular operation of the facility (availability, reliability), stand-by operation (safety), shut-down and maintenance (repair, access and maintenance).
