30th edition of the Symposium on Fusion Technology was held in Italy - the conceptual design of the COMPASS-U project was presented
SOFT 2018 was held in Giardini Naxos (Messina, Sicily), took place from 16th to 21st September. The biennial Symposium on Fusion Technology is the most important conference in this field in Europe.
It regularly attracts more than 1000 scientists, engineers, industry representatives and exhibitors from all over the world and focuses on the latest developments on fusion experiments and activities.
One of the first lectures was the lecture titled "Conceptual Design of the COMPASS-U tokamak" presented a unique project of the new COMPASS-U tokamak by director of IPP, Dr. Radomír Pánek.
