On September 24, 2018, a joint seminar of the Department of Radiation and Chemical Physics of the Institute of Physics and the Laser Plasma Department of IPP was held at the PALS Research Centre.
Prof. Katsunobu Nishihara is an Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University, Japan, and currently works as a Senior Researcher at ELI Beamlines. The theme of his lecture was "Early History of Laser Fusion Research in the World and Japan".
