Joint pre-Cycle 5 ALMA workshop - Prague & Toruń

The Czech ALMA Regional Centre node in collaboration with the Torun Centre for Astronomy (Nicolaus Copernicus University) organize a joint workshop aimed to prepare the local communities for the upcoming ALMA Cycle 5. A Call for Proposals with detailed information on Cycle 5 will be issued in March 2017, with a deadline for proposal submission expected on 20 April 2017 and observations starting in October 2017. The Prague workshop will be held on 06-07 April in the Astronomical Insitute, Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. It is open to all ALMA users and prospective ALMA users, preference will be given to astronomers from the local community. The Torun workshop will take place on 03-04 April in Piwnice near Toruń, Poland.

Lectures and tutorials will be given by Andy Biggs (ESO), Suzanna Randall (ESO) and members of the Czech ARC node.

Registration:
If you would like to attend the workshop, please register by filling out the form below. Participants are expected to bring a laptop with the Observing Tool installed (see the instructions on the ALMA Science Portal). Registration deadline is March 30, 2017. Partial financial support will be offered to students/post-docs.
