Project “Solid State Physics for 21st Century” (SOLID21) aims to strengthen the research excellence of the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences as the leading European centre in solid state physics. The mission of the project is to address the most relevant scientific and technological challenges of the 21st century in the fields of nanoelectronics, photonics, magnetism, functional and bioactive materials and plasma technologies. The project will result in improved and extended research base, construction of a new multifunctional building, acquisition of top-notch physics instruments, and active involvement of students in the research at the Institute of Physics.

This project is co-financed by EU.
