Organic Chemistry

The main objective of the project is the development of new synthetic approaches towards novel heterocyclic compounds with potential application as antiviral agents. The main biological targets of the studied compounds should be host factors hijacked by viral pathogens during the process of their replication, specifically proteins involved in virus-mediated host membrane alteration.
