Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings

Once every year, dozens of Nobel Laureates convene at Lindau, Germany, to meet the next generation of leading scientists - undergraduates, Ph.D. students, and post-doc researchers from around the world. The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings foster interdisciplinary exchange among scientists of various ages, cultures and disciplines. The 65th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (June 28 to July 3) enabled Nobel Laureates to interact with 650 young scientists covering the fields of physiology and medicine, physics and chemistry. Among laureates attending were: Werner Arber, Swiss microbiologist (1978), Torsten Nils Wiesel, Swedish medical doctor (1981) and Ada E. Yonath, Israeli chemist (2009).
