Opto-mechanics of colloidal photonic structures in under-damped regime
Within this project we will focus on opto-mechanical aspects of photonic structures composed from microobjects and nanoobjects of various sizes and materials in under-damped regime. Depending on the particles material, two approaches for their self-arrangement will be used. In the firs approach their self-arrangement will be done by optical force interaction between objects inside the microstructure, by so called optical binding. In the second, particles will be confined in the Paul trap and their self-arrangement will be given via Coulomb interaction. Both approaches enable us dynamical change of photonic structures arrangement. Thus we will obtain valuable original knowledge about the opto-mechanics of contactless formed tunable photonic microstructures covering photonic crystals and plasmonic nanoantennas placed in weakly damped medium.
