Prenylated indole alkaloids from terrestrial and marine microorganisms display a broad range of important biological activities. Their complex architecture also makes them attractive targets to explore new synthetic methodology. In this project new radical and electron transfer methodology will be developed and applied to allow short and efficient approaches to natural products, such as (+)-stephacidin A.
