The ceremony took place on 8 November, 2018 at gala evening in the new building of the National Museum with the participation of members of the government, parliament, research and academic communities and other importantt personalities.
The
main motivation for the successful implementation of the project called "Advanced Optical Systems
using Aspherical Surfaces" was to master a comprehensive process of manufacturing advanced optical
systems using aspherical optical elements. This
involved the development of technological processes in the field of optical design, as well as the
development of high precision machining and measuring technologies. The
project was implementedin
cooperation with the leading Czech manufacturer of optics and optical systems by Meopta - optika,
s.r.o.
