From 2003 to 2008 she studied Archaeology at the Silesian University in Opava and is now doing a doctorate in the same field at Masaryk University in Brno.
She worked as an archaeologist and curator of the archaeology collections at the Regional Museum in Olomouc (2007-2009), after which she was employed at the Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Brno, as part of the team implementing the project entitled "Continuity or Change. The Question of Migrant and Autochthonous Populations on the Threshold of the Middle Ages in the Light of Multidisciplinary Research" (2009- 2011). In 2012 she was appointed as a specialist for the Centre for Research into the Roman Period and the Migration Period. She has also lectured at the Silesian University in Opava.

She specialises in archaeology of the Late Roman Period and particularly the Migration Period. As part of her doctoral studies she is also focusing on the last years of the Przeworsk culture in Upper Silesia, especially potters kilns and pottery production in the Opava region. Her main professional sphere of interest is the Migration Period, specifically the encroachment of the Lombard tribe into our country. These activities include the management of the field research carried out at the extensive inhumation burial site at "Roviny" in Mušov, the preparation of special material for publications, and the coordination of editorial work for the issue of catalogues of Lombard burial sites in Moravia.
She is the author of monographs, partial studies and articles in specialised magazines and anthologies published in the Czech Republic and abroad. She has played an active part at international conferences in Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Serbia.
