At the beginning of July, the unique experiment was carried out at the PALS Research Center, the aim of the experiment was to simulate the conditions that occur during the meteoroid flight through the atmosphere.
The main objective of the scientists the Institute of Plasma Physics and

Institute of Physical Chemistry of CAS was to simulate the conditions that occur during the
meteoroid flight through the atmosphere, by laser evaporation of real meteorite samples. That means
to adjust the laser parameters (pulse energy, intensity, pulse duration) so that the spectrum of
detected radiation corresponds exactly to the conditions of the passage - the temperature and the
density of the plasma generated on the vaporized surface of the meteoroid body, and then its
spectroscopic composition can be determined.
A high-resolution spectrometer was used, simultaneously with the observation spectrograph,
which is a part of the network for real-world observations of meteors. The best spectrographs are
located at
the Observatory in Valašské Meziříčí .
The main aim of this research is to develop a methodology for determining elementary composition and types of bodies throughout the Solar System while using a routine spectrographic analysis of meteors.
