In January 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre carried out a survey about debts and loans. In this press release are published attitudes of Czech citizens to debts of common people. In this text there are also published attitudes of Czechs to individual debts, e.g. acceptability of loans for real estate, education, consumption, car, holidays or for starting a business. Another question was focused on importance of financial resources for unexpected expenses and difficulties with the repayment of debts.

Less than a third (30%) of people believe that for the income of their household they can buy or pay less than a year ago, 58% believe that the real income of their households is about the same as a year before, and 12% of respondents said that their real income during the last year has increased.

According to November 2015 survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre 13% of citizens regard taxation on high-income earners as high, 27% say it is adequate and 50% think it is low. Taxation on average-income earners is considered to be high by 39% of respondents, adequate by 50% and low by 3% of citizens.

In November public opinion survey CVVM was interested, among other things, in how citizens perceive the Czech pension system, especially its sufficiency with regard to material security in retirement, and whether Czech citizens use the possibility of a commercial insurance. Respondents were asked whether they had been saving up money for retirement on top of the ongoing pension system guaranteed by the state, whether they are worried about insufficiency of financial security guaranteed by the state in retirement, and whether they are generally worried about financial problems during retirement.
