Linek, Lukáš. 2004. Volby do Evropského parlamentu 2004 - analýza volební účasti a stranické podpory v České republice. Sociologické studie / Sociological Studies 04:01. Praha: Sociologický ústav AV ČR. 73 s. ISBN 80-7330-065-6.
This study analyses the reasons behind the low electoral participation and behind voter mobility, and looks at the consequences these changes hold for the electoral gains of individual parties. Using data for the Czech Republic the author indicates some socio-demographic factors and some political attitudes that can be linked to electoral participation and highlights some of the factors that cause voters to participate less in elections. The study also focuses on voter mobility and explains these shifts on the basis of an analysis of geographical, socio-demographic, and class characteristics.
