Anoplistes agababiani was described by Mikhail Danilevsky from Megri region of Southern Armenia [✧] under name Asias agababiani [❖].

Host plant:Ephedra sp.
Distribution:an endemic species to Armenia


The depicted beetle was photographed on its host plant (Ephedra sp.) by our friend Lech Kruszelnicki in Southern Armenia (5km S Meghri, Syunik province) on June 10, 2013.
