Laboratories of Department 11

In the Joint Laboratory of the Institute of Physics of the AS CR and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University a broad spectrum of materials is studied under combined extreme conditions – in the temperature range 0.1 K to 1000 K, magnetic fields up to 14 T and hydrostatic pressure up to 2 GPa. The main aim is to determine and explain correlations between electronic structure and physical properties of the studied compounds. Further information is available here.

In the Joint Laboratory of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the AS CR, Institute of Physics of the AS CR, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University andFaculty of Science of the Charles University, the research is aimed at:

  • Mössbauer spectroscopy of the systems containing nanoparticles of iron compounds and alloys - measurements in the broad temperature range 4.2 - 700 K and measurements in magnetic fields up to 6 T (in-field Mössbauer spectroscopy) are possible
  • magnetic and transport properties of superconductors -   The whole text »
