Sociologické aspekty

In the chapter the author deals with the construction of gender roles and gender stereotypes in the CR and their impact on the formation of TG identities, especially on the differences between female-to-male and male-to-female transgenders due to rigid socialisation. She shows that the concept of performativity of gender is very problematic in case of transgenders and the relationship to the majority society to the transgender community precisely due to the 'breach' of biological expectations.
