This device alows to characterize optical fibers with large diameter for high power fiber lasers. The preparation of specialty optical fibers belongs among the main topics of the research of the IPE, it is unique in the Czech Republic and has gained international reputation. Training of its operation for the IPE scientists has been provided by specialists Andrew Yablon from Interfiber Analysis and Claudius Raith from AMS Technologies.
IPE carries out fundamental and applied research in the scientific fields of photonics, optoelectronics and electronics. In these fields, IPE generates new knowledge and develops new technologies.
