A Week of Science and Technology will be held at IOCB Prague on November 6-10, 2018, and will include an array of activities for schools and for the general public.

Special program

The following lectures on various topics will be combined with laboratory tours:

• Tuesday, November 6, 4:30 PM: Chemistry for Technical Minds – tours and two lectures (advance booking necessary)
• Wednesday, November 7, 4:30 PM: Chemistry and Medicine – tours and a lecture (advance booking necessary)
• Wednesday, November 7 (the exact time to be scheduled): A tour of the Institute in the Czech sign language with a visit to the termite laboratory (only accessible for groups of students with hearing impairment, advance booking necessary)
• Thursday, November 8, 4:30 PM: Bioinformatics and Proteins – an afternoon lecture in two parts (advance booking necessary)

Please note that the programs are only in Czech.

Schools excursions – November 8-9, 2018

Tours for schools at IOCB Prague will be held on November 8-9, 2018, from 9 AM 4 PM. A short program demonstrating the current research will be available from most of the laboratories.

• Booking for school tours was open between October 8 and 18 and now is closed.
• Programs are primarily in Czech. Programs in English can be arranged.

Open House Day for the general public – November 10, 2018

The Institute will open to the general public on November 10, 9 AM to 4 PM. Throughout the day several dozen laboratories will be available for tours, featuring programs for visitors of all ages.

Programs are primarily in Czech. For interested visitors, particularly larger groups, tours can be arranged in English.
