Dr. Radka Kellnerová was awarded the prize for best young authors' presentation at the PHYSMOD 2011 conference held in Hamburg on August 22-24, 2011 for her paper entitled Proper orthogonal decomposition of velocity and vorticity field within the street canyon and wavelet analysis of the expansion coefficients.
Prof. Can Fuat Delale received his M.Sc. degree in Physics in 1979 at Lehigh University (USA) and his Ph.D. degree in Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics in 1983 at Brown University (USA). He is a member of a number of scientific societies, holder of a number of prizes, fellowships and awards and the referee for a number of distinguished scientific journals. Czech National Committee for the Properties of Water and Steam (CZ NC PWS) in collaboration with University of West Bohemia will organize IAPWS 2011 Annual Meeting & Symposium held in Pilsen on September 4-9, 2011. The objective of the annual IAPWS meetings is to review and evaluate the results obtained in the working groups during the previous period, to prepare IAPWS documents for publication and to determine new objectives and assign tasks for the next period.
