On January 8, 2018, Andrej Babiš, the Prime Minister, visited the Institute of Plasma Physics. Mr. Babiš and Vice-Chairman of the Government Council for Research on Development and Innovation, Mr. Karel Havlíček visited IPP. They met the management of the Institute.

EMTRAIC was held at the COMPASS tokamak
On December 3 - 14 the winter course EMTRAIC was held at the COMPASS Tokamak. This course is similar to the SUMTRAIC summer training course, however, it is organised for the students of the Erasmus Mundus Fusion Master Programme.
