Workshop is organized by
Department of Condensed Matter Theory, FZU ASCR v.v.i., Na Slovance 2, Prague,
Department of Physics, Nuclear Research Center Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel.

The main objective of this workshop is to bring together Israeli and Czech researchers in a fields of theoretical and experimental material science. The workshop is focused on the fundamental aspects of nanoscale physical phenomena in strongly correlated materials used for the electric energy and the nuclear energy production. We are pleased to announce 12^th Interregional Workshop on Advanced Nanomaterials, which will be held in Prague in November 15 - 16, 2016. This year the workshop is organized by the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science and Institute of Physics, The Czech Academy of Sciences. IWAN is an informal meeting of scientists mainly from institutions located in Poland, Germany and Czech Republic working in the field of advanced nanomaterials. Ad hoc workshops are small two days workshops organized by authors of the crystallographic software Jana2006. The topics and dates are selected by participants in Jana web pages jana.fzu.cz. A workshop is organized as soon as an overlap in subscribed topics is found.

The ELI Beamlines Scientific Challenges 2015 meeting will be held in the new building of ELI Beamlines and in the nearby very scenic baroque Štiřín Castle. We will combine the conference with a prospective user meeting to introduce the experimental capabilities of the facility and to get feedback on user needs concerning experimental capabilities and organizational support.

Together with people from scientific communities, industry and representatives from politics we will be celebrating the Grand Opening of our new ELI Beamlines building.
