Laser-based bio-research

Burst of research in this direction resulted in therapeutic applications of low power red and near-infrared light to promote wound healing, hair growth, tissue regeneration, reduce pain, etc. However, many of such investigations are hampered by shortcomings in experimental design and often also by a lack of reproducibility. Thus, rigorous research of detailed biophysical mechanisms of laser-cell interactions are of a great value.
