Obecný obraz vědy v české společnosti

The text summarizes the most important outputs of the public opinion survey aimed on the picture of science among Czech public conducted by Public Opinion Centre of Institute of Sociology of Czech Academy of Sciences in spring 2006. From the public point of view it addresses topics like common concept of science and rules of scientific inquiry, the orientation and goals of science, status of particular disciplines or perception of the scientists.
