Abstrakt: Through the archaeological investigation of a regional context in south Tuscany, the lecture aims to provide new data to shape the settlement network and economy along the coastal area of Etruria. Specifically, a detailed analysis of a temple area dedicated to Diana Umbronensis, a manufacturing district and a maritime villa will provide new insights on the Roman organization of the landscape and its interlaced relationship with economy and society from the 2nd c, BC to the 6th c. AD.
