In its regular October survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the topic of the US presidential election. Interest in the US presidential election show more than two-fifths (42%) of the Czech public, almost three fifths (57%) do not care about this topic. According to more than two fifths of Czech citizens (43%) should Hillary Clinton become the next president of the United States, 13% of the Czech citiziens prefers Donald Trump.

Part of Aprils’ survey of CVVM was the topic of European integration. Two batteries of questions were included into the survey. One focused on the view, whether the values of democracy, equality, cooperation, tolerance, justice and solidarity are applied in the European Union. The second one concerned the opinion on usefulness or harmfulness of European integration in the areas of economy, politics, culture, defence and ecology. Apart from these two batteries we also asked questions, whether respondents believe that integration of the European Union is in the interest of the Czech Republic and in their own personal interest.
