Memorandum signed between the CAS and the University of Žilina

The Czech Academy of Sciences has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Žilina, Slovakia. The Memorandum recognizes the importance of scientific and educational cooperation between the two countries.

On the Czech part, the Memorandum has been signed by the CAS President Eva Zažímalová; on the Slovakian part, by the University’s rector Jozef Jandačka. Both institutions have entered into this agreement “with the objective to promote and develop the possibilities for cooperation in the fields of science and education between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.”

Further purpose of the Memorandum is to foster ideas, share knowledge, and combine efforts to encourage joint activities of researchers and students from the CAS and the University of Žilina.

The Czech Academy of Sciences has already signed a number of such agreements with various renowned universities, the most recent ones include memoranda with Mu’tah University, Jordan (January 2019) or University of Memphis, USA (October 2018).
