Topic Reactivity of Stable Nitrogen-Centered Radicals and Their Use in the Preparation of Potentially Bioactive Nitrogen-Containing Compounds
Faculty FCHT / FPBT VŠCHT, PřF UK
Abstract

Stable nitrogen-centered radicals like verdazyls display a diverse reactivity for example as mediators in living radical polymerizations, as ligands for transition metals and molecular magnetic materials,1,2 however, they have been rarely applied in organic chemistry. In this project, the reactivity of verdazyl in radical heterocoupling reactions and new rearrangement reactions will be explored. The obtained compounds will be tested for their biological activities.
